So, What's New?
Here are the latest updates as of May 15, 2013...
(Updates posted in order from most recent to oldest)
(5/15/13) NEW MARKER FOUND! Found by a fellow marker hunter on the streets of Las Vegas -- a forgotten addition into the Nevada Historic Marker System: [270] The Morelli House
No special events or momentous unveilings welcomed this marker into the system in 2011. It's time to change that. Enjoy this new addition to the website!
As always, more GPS coordinates as soon as I have them! Enjoy.
(1/14/13) [197] FOUND! After twenty long years,
[197] Arrowhead Trail II
has been found! A Henderson local, Justin Pulcipher, stumbled upon the newly-redone marker while playing an online game close to home. I am delighted to say that we can erase one marker from our list of MIAs.
(1/14/13) Addition of 23 links to
"Related Links." I tripled the amount of links you'll find on this page. Now you can use Nevada Landmarks as a convenient gateway to a generous number of other fantastic Nevada and Great Basin-related links. Enjoy!
Addition of a new series of pages, titled
"271 Facts You Didn't Know!" I've spent the last four months compiling these facts into a series of fun and informative series of pages that most people never knew about Nevada. How sure am I? I guarantee that at least one of these will be new information to you! These facts are also found at the bottom of every individual marker page. With them, I added a few new additions in between. Enjoy!
Here's what's been done to Nevada Landmarks over the years!
(7/15/12)
The latest research allowed me to add "MARKER HISTORY" to
[75] Government Building.
The information here was offered to me by a few friendly Nevadans. Many thanks ... You know who you are!
As always, more GPS coordinates as soon as I have them! Enjoy.
(6/17/12)
I improved the look on the "YOUR RESULTS" page of Nevada's Trivia page. This is the page that gives you an animal ranking based on how well you did on any of my 14
Nevada Quizzes.
If you haven't done so, play any of them today! 200 players (and counting) can't be wrong!
(6/17/12)
The latest research allowed me to add "MARKER HISTORY" to
[29] Chinese in Nevada.
This research was hard to come by and I found it only by way of local word of mouth. Kudos to those involved. You know who you are!
Changes were made to further improve directional accuracy and statement clarification. For those of you who have been wondering, it is unlikely that GPS will be added to this page due to the private and often secretive location of this marker. On the upside, I've done my best to provide you with the most pinpoint information possible. Enjoy!
(3/12/12)
Want more random facts and quirks about Nevada? Well, I added 271 random facts about the state you grow to love - one for each marker page! You can find these facts at the very bottom of each page. I will compile these facts onto a list on a separate webpage in a few weeks. I hope I just made your browsing experience a little more fun and informative. Enjoy.
(3/9/12)
I added a self-refreshing Javascript to my
Random Marker Imager
page. Now you can really ... literally, kick your feet up and watch this page refresh itself!
(2/5/12)

(8/21/11) NEW MARKER FOUND! A bit of Internet browsing and a 268 mile trip revealed a forgotten recent addition into the Nevada Historic Marker System: #269, Ely - Forging the Link.

(6/15/11)
New addition to our list of MIAs. #43 joins the MIA cast without much celebration.
(5/19/11) Check out the brand new formatting for my MIAs listings. I will admit that this should have been done a long time ago. The new formatting includes convenient links to and from the MIAs page as well as the current markers and site homepage. The MIAs are cleaner and better than ever before. Unfortunately, I also inducted four new MIAs into the listings. Many apologies for not doing this sooner. Enjoy.
(5/19/11)
Check out the new easier site navigation! Finally, a Nevada-Landmarks banner has made its debut. I designed the banner to reflect the nature and purpose here on Nevada-Landmarks. Also, the banner conveniently links back to the site homepage for even easier site navigation. Comments on the new banner? Drop me a line.

Thanks to your support and love of Nevada's historical markers, I decided to dedicate all of 2011 to writing a book version of Nevada-Landmarks.com! Along with the regular accuracy of the markers, the book will feature historical columns, journal entries taken on my endeavor, as well as 300+ photos taken all over Nevada. As such, I ask that you be patient in my updates and additions to the website, as well as any delays on requests, or emails during this year...
(2/25/11)
If you like this idea of a book, simply drop me a line in the guestbook with the subject "Love the book!" Also, if you have any of your own ideas for what you'd like to see in the book, please email me. I will do the best I can to include as many ideas as I can. Thank you!

Thanks to your undying requests, I will be adding GPS coordinates to as many marker pages as I can. I added GPS coordinates to a good handful of markers in CARSON CITY and CHURCHILL counties. More will be added on a daily basis. Many, many thanks for your patience in this endeavor.
An important correction was made to the #238, Huffakers page! A concerned marker hunter informed me of a mistake I had made in citing this marker. Many, many thanks to Kevin C., for correcting me on this.
